Sometimes it’s physical: the passage that tightens up, the uneven run, the sound you can’t quite control. Sometimes it’s musical: the same familiar chords, the idea you can’t develop, the freedom you hear in someone else’s playing.
Speed, coordination or demanding passages bring unnecessary tension. You want greater ease, independence and reliable control, without having to force your way through.
You repeat exercises or difficult passages, but the same technical habits return in your pieces. You need to understand what to change and how to bring that change into your playing.
You want the physical freedom to shape a phrase, and the musical language to improvise, reharmonize or develop an arrangement that feels like you.
Efficient technique helps you control how you move and the sound you produce. A broader musical language gives you more to say. In TCPM, you develop both together, then put them to work in the music you want to play and create.
TCPM is for intermediate and advanced pianists who already have a foundation at the keyboard and want greater technical control, less unnecessary tension and more musical freedom. You might be refining demanding repertoire, learning to improvise or developing an arrangement of your own.
You don’t need to be a professional or already know how to improvise. You do need to be ready to explore your approach, practice consistently and apply feedback. This is not a first piano course.
Hear how students describe the changes in their playing, confidence and creative work.
“In 90 days, I definitely broke through some barriers that I carried… like decades.”
“I love how much better my fingers feel and how much quicker I’m picking stuff up. It’s night and day.”
“I just felt incredibly comfortable and confident in that moment. Just wow… how far I’ve come.”
Student comments are excerpts from published TCPM interviews. Individual results vary.

Before Juilliard, tendinitis in both arms left me unable to play for a year and a half. I had to start again with the physical foundations of my playing. The answer wasn’t to push harder through the same approach. I needed to learn a different way to use my hands and move at the piano.
Rebuilding my technique around efficiency, control and independence changed what felt possible. Within about a year of starting over, I was learning Liszt études and auditioning for Juilliard. That became my first major realization: my current technique did not have to define my future playing.

After Juilliard, I heard a pianist accompany a singer with total freedom. I could play demanding classical music, but I wanted to hear an idea, find it at the piano and make musical choices that freely. Technical control had opened one door. Now I wanted to expand my musical language.
I learned wherever I could: one-off lessons, DVDs, teachers, church gigs and accompanying anyone I could. Listening, transcription, improvisation and arranging expanded what I could hear and create. I was building a second kind of fluency, but the search lacked structure and feedback.

The connection became central to my playing. Efficient movement and reliable technique gave me more control over the sound. A broader ear and harmonic language gave me more choices. Applying them together helped me turn those choices into music.
Years later, at Vienna’s Musikverein, I performed a show I had created that brought together classical music, jazz, improvisation, sound design and live looping. What stayed with me was the joy of making music on my own terms.

Your goal might be a passage that finally feels under control, an expressive performance or an arrangement of your own. I built The Complete Piano Method to connect those physical and musical foundations through focused practice, real application and feedback.
Technical mastery and creative freedom belong in the same journey. That is the roadmap I wish I’d had.
Across 14 weeks, work on how you move, what you hear and how you bring musical ideas to life. Technique is a central part of the method: develop efficient movement, coordination and control, then connect that work to phrasing, listening, improvisation and arranging.
See and hear a concept demonstrated.
Bring it onto the keys with focused work.
Use it in a transcription or arrangement.
Bring questions and work to group guidance and project feedback opportunities.
The aim: more reliable technique, greater physical ease and more musical choices, applied to your repertoire and creative projects. Develop an arrangement of your own and work toward performing and recording it. Progress depends on your starting point, practice and participation; the recorded lessons remain available after the 14 weeks.

Set meaningful goals and build a clear, sustainable practice strategy.
Develop efficient movement, coordination and control, and learn to recognize and release unnecessary tension through targeted exercises and musical application.
Learn to transcribe efficiently and integrate musical language into your playing.
Expand your melodic, rhythmic and harmonic vocabulary through free and structured exploration.
Follow the process of building your own arrangement through reharmonization, structure and creativity.
Record and share your music effectively, with accountability and a repeatable schedule.

Explore efficient movement, finger independence, coordination and the release of unnecessary tension. Apply the technical work to challenging passages, voicing and the sound you want.
Explore melody, harmony and rhythm so you can respond to an idea instead of needing every note written down.
Listen closely to music you love, work out what makes it compelling, and bring those sounds into your own playing.
Bring your technique, listening, improvisation and arranging together into one musical project.
Prepare the work to be heard. Practice carrying your musical choices into a complete, expressive performance.
Capture what you’ve built. Learn a repeatable way to finish, record and share—or keep a record of your own progress.
A technical obstacle in your repertoire gives you something specific to investigate. A sound you hear gives you something to explore. You learn, practice, apply and use feedback to refine both how you play and the music you make.

You know what to work on and how to approach it. You’re developing a more efficient technique, hearing more musical choices and applying both to the pieces and projects that matter to you.
Work toward greater coordination, independence and ease. Learn to recognize unnecessary effort and bring a more efficient approach into passages that have felt unreliable.
Connect that physical control to a broader harmonic and rhythmic language, so you have more ways to shape a phrase, improvise or make an arrangement your own.
Apply your technical and creative progress to a piece or arrangement you care about. Prepare, perform and record it so you can hear what is changing and what to refine next.
A Juilliard-trained pianist, composer, arranger and music director whose work connects technique, improvisation and a wide-ranging musical language.
Natalie has performed at Carnegie Hall, Lincoln Center, the Apollo Theater, Madison Square Garden and Vienna’s Musikverein. Her work spans concert stages, Broadway, recording studios and original music.
She has created arrangements for Lang Lang and Itzhak Perlman, with additional credits including Pentatonix, The Great Gatsby on Broadway, American Utopia and vocal arrangements for Mean Girls.
She gives masterclasses at universities and conservatories around the world and is regularly invited to serve on the juries of piano competitions.
Her teaching brings that experience to your piano: developing reliable technique, a broader musical vocabulary and the confidence to turn your ideas into finished music.

Audience figures are approximate. Professional credits describe Natalie’s work; they do not guarantee student outcomes.

A focused 14-week development experience, with weekly practice direction, creative assignments, feedback opportunities and the advanced resources to keep growing long after the program.
I am doing this on purpose.
My years of training at Juilliard and with leading musicians were invaluable. They also taught me how expensive traditional music education can be—and how much focused work it takes to connect technique to the creative skills you actually want to use.
Some programs separate technique, ear training, improvisation, arranging and recording into entirely different tracks. I wanted to make those skills part of one practical approach, so each new idea leads somewhere musical.
That’s why TCPM is built as one connected 14-week journey, with creative assignments, ways to get feedback and lifetime access to the recorded curriculum. Here’s the investment.
Traditional universities and conservatories can involve years of tuition costing tens of thousands of dollars. Those programs can be valuable, but they are not always designed to connect technique, transcription, improvisation, arranging, performance and recording into one focused, practical experience for the pianist you are today.
For $1,997, you can study my Juilliard-informed methodology through one connected 14-week program, with creative projects, opportunities for feedback, live group guidance and lifetime access to the recorded lessons. A fraction of the tuition commitment of a multi-year degree, focused on the musical skills you want to develop now.

No. The Complete Piano Method is designed for intermediate and advanced pianists who already have a foundation at the keyboard. You don't need to be an expert in improvisation or arranging—that's exactly what you'll develop—but this is not a beginner's first piano course.
Yes. The important starting point is your playing level and interest in developing your musicianship. Serious amateur pianists can work toward the same creative goals alongside working musicians.
That is one of the gaps the method addresses. You’ll work on connecting your existing control to melodic, harmonic and rhythmic choices without relying on a fully written score.
You don’t need to become a social-media creator. Recording helps you hear your progress and finish musical work. You can keep those recordings private, use them in a portfolio, or share them when you want to.
Plan to make regular time at the piano and time for the assignments. The amount depends on your starting point and project. Short, focused sessions can support progress; more ambitious arrangements need additional work. You can start when you choose, set your own pace, and use the optional live calls when they fit your schedule.
You need access to a piano or keyboard and a way to watch the lessons. Joining live online calls is optional. A phone can be a practical starting point for documenting your playing. The Ableton live-looping training requires Ableton Live and a compatible setup; software and equipment purchases are separate.
The course explores technique, harmony, rhythm, listening and arranging—skills you can bring into classical, jazz, pop and your own original music. Your repertoire and projects give you a place to apply them.
You can use TCPM alongside private lessons. It adds a connected path through creative skills and projects that you can also discuss with your teacher.
You can complete the $1,997 curriculum on your own timeline. Weekly group Q&A calls with Natalie are included, along with workshops and feedback opportunities. Watch available replays if you cannot attend live.
You keep lifetime access to the recorded Core Curriculum, including future additions, and the recorded advanced bonus courses. Optional live calls, feedback, community, workshops and app support are available under the program’s applicable support-access terms.
No. NYC recording sessions are a potential experience for selected Inner Circle members only, subject to scheduling, studio capacity, and individual confirmation. A studio place is never guaranteed by joining. Travel and accommodation are not included.
There are two separate refund options, both measured from your individual program start date. Within 7 days: request a refund in writing for any reason, without assignments or call attendance. Within 30 days: a conditional do-the-work refund is available if you complete the lessons and assignments released during that period, provide evidence of your work, and attend the weekly Q&A calls offered (or approved make-ups). Submit your written request and evidence by day 30. Live calls are otherwise optional. See the full guarantee terms below.
You can spend them playing the same things, practicing the same way, and wondering why you're not progressing.
Or you can spend them building the technique, musical freedom, and creative skills you've been wanting for years—with a clear path, expert feedback, and a community that helps you follow through.
The time will pass. What you do with it is up to you.
MAKE THE NEXT 14 WEEKS COUNT →
Instead of simply accumulating more practice hours, spend the next 14 weeks focused on expanding what you can actually do at the piano—with new sounds under your fingers, a broader musical vocabulary, arrangements you’ve made your own, and music you’ve taken all the way to performance.
The Complete Piano Method gives you the path.
You choose how closely you want to work with Natalie along the way.

The complete 14-week piano experience · Real projects, optional group guidance and lifetime recorded lessons
The Complete Piano Method: $1,997 enrollment.
